The Saltmarsh Partnership launched Tourism South East's 'Winning in Recession' campaign at a private event in central London. The campaign was designed to direct UK consumers to www.southeastoffers.com, which features numerous credit-crunching discounts in the region.
TSP arranged for well-known broadcaster and travel editor of The Independent, Simon Calder, to act as host for the night. As an incentive, all attending journalists won a prize from free tickets to Ascot Racecourse to a weekend away for two in Berkshire. Approximately 100 people attended the evening, the vast majority being journalists. Subsequent coverage has appeared in the likes of The Times, Prima and online at thisismoney.co.uk. |
