Aruba Tourism Authority
The Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba offers a significantly different Caribbean experience. Just 15 miles off the cost of Venezuela, Aruba is a melting pot of South American and Dutch influences. Its native population is descended from Arawak Indians. Aruba's geology is unique in the Caribbean, its pristine white sand beaches a stark contrast to the wild cliffs and black pebbles of its Atlantic coast and red desert-like interior populated by cactus.
